Executive Vice President of Global International Sales
Giuseppe Caltabiano (Juice-eppeh Cal-ta-bee-an-o), a seasoned expert on all things global, spearheads Payroc’s international business development efforts. He is responsible for providing sales enablement tools and sales support to Payroc Payments Professionals and strategic partners, helping them sell throughout the world while making cross-border payments as frictionless as possible.
Caltabiano has been actively involved in payments since 1982 when he was still in college. Early in his career, Caltabiano worked in business development for Visa Italy; ran indirect sales for Verifone in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from the company’s London office; and then went on to lead Verifone’s Asia-Pacific business living in Singapore and Melbourne, Australia. As president of CyberNet, Caltabiano was instrumental in developing the first Visa-sponsored EMV migration incentive program for point-of-sale terminals in the early 2000s.
Caltabiano joined NXGEN in 2005 as president of international, leading the company’s first outside the United States foray into Canada and then on to the United Kingdom, Europe, and Latin America. He helped develop MSPWare, a merchant service provider solution completely automating merchant portfolio and sales agent management activities, licensing it to Elavon for distribution to their independent sales organization channel partners. Driving double-digit international growth through the years, Caltabiano’s efforts have been key in NXGEN being honored by the Electronic Transactions Association as 2015 ISO of the Year and receiving numerous Elavon Arch Awards as a top processing volume independent sales organization and merchant service provider. He was heavily involved in NXGEN’s 2018 recapitalization by Parthenon Capital and the four-way merger of Payroc, Payscape, NXGEN, and BluePay Canada in late 2019.
Caltabiano earned a Doctorate in Electronics and Computer Science, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree, from the Politecnico di Milano. He is proficient in English, French, Italian, Spanish, and written Korean.
